Academics

FCCS is committed to a high level of academic success. We teach from a solid biblical worldview, weaving God's truth into every lesson. We currently use a combination of curriculum publishers, including ABeka, BJU Press, A Reason For, and Purposeful Design. FCCS does standardized testing in the spring, utilizing the Stanford Achievement Test 10 (SAT-10). 

The following are the Expected Outcomes for the school. The student who graduates from FCCS should:

  • Understand and commit to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Be well prepared in all academic disciplines and demonstrate strong skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, mathematics, science, and thinking.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of people, events, and movements in history (including church history) and the cultures of other people and places.
  • Personally respond to carrying out the Great Commission locally and around the world in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Know how to utilize resources including technology to find, analyze and evaluate information.
  • Know, understand, and apply God's Word in daily life.
  • Possess apologetic skills to defend their faith.
  • Treat their bodies as the temple of the Holy Spirit.
  • Be actively involved in a church community, serving God and others.
  • Be good stewards of their finances, time (including discretionary time), and all other resources.
  • Treat self and others in a Christ-like manner.
