Bible- This week’s verse is Ps. 63:7a - “For you have been my help” .
Social Studies- We are talking about the One True God and exploring what we believe and know to be true about our God.
Science- We are continuing our study of the earth and matter. We are talking about the bonds that hold atoms together.
Reading- I love how all the students are reading. Please go over their papers with them when they come home. It reinforces the concepts!
Math K - On to Chapt. 6!. We have begun the concept of place value.
1st- . We have begun Ch. 6 and it is dealing with place value.
Day 111! We are learning to spell number words and use tally marks.
First Friday: Feb. is the month we show our love to those at Hope Cottages. Please bring in a gift card for any amount or money that we can buy a gift card together. This will let them decide how to use it best. Our ending date is on the 28th.
UPCOMING
1. Feb. 24th is the Talent Show. Look for sign ups in today’s folder.
2. Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Mar. 1st, dress up as a storybook character. If you know of anyone who would like to judge the costumes please have them contact me. It will take about ½ an hour.
3. Student speeches are in today’s folder. The meet is Wednesday, March 21th.
4. FCCS is having an Open House for Kindergarten – 3rd grade on Mar. 7th for any friends, family or complete strangers that you think may be interested in attending our school. There will also be one on March 8th for grades 4-8. Get the word out!
